Chapter 214: Rising Fury And Frost Dragon Bloodline

Chapter 214: Rising Fury And Frost Dragon Bloodline

Emily and Magzi charged at each other, narrowing their gaze as they prepared for their clash. Magzi raised her sword overhead, bringing it down in a massive arc, intending to deliver a powerful vertical slash. Emily smirked, bringing in the claws on her right hand to parry the incoming attack. Sparks flew as her sword clashed with Emily’s sturdy nails.

Leaning in, Emily mumbled, "Well, damn, looks like all those muscles you’ve got aren’t just for show," she playfully remarked.

Magzi, blood trickling from a cut on her cheek, narrowed her gaze as she replied with a serious tone, "Underestimate me, and you will not survive this battle."

Emily chuckled, blood staining her claws, as she replied, "Oh, please, don’t make me laugh. If this is all you have, then boredom might just kill me before your sword dose."

As Magzi’s sword clashed with Emily’s claws, a burst of energy emitted through the clash. Emily, relying on the strength of her demonic claws, held her ground, absorbing the force of Magzi’s powerful vertical slash. Magzi, feeling the resistance, gritted her teeth, pushing forward with all her might. Her muscles tensed with the effort.

In response, Emily swiftly maneuvered her body, using the strength of her legs to maintain balance. With a quick twist of her torso, Emily redirected Magzi’s sword downward, skimming it along the side of her own body. This sudden movement surprised Magzi, who momentarily lost control of her sword.@@@@

Seeing this happen, Emily smiled, a mischievous glint in her eyes as she mumbled, "You’re wide open."

Emily seized the opportunity, using her free left hand to deliver a swift, open-palm strike to Magzi’s chest. The impact sent Magzi stumbling backward, her grip on the sword loosening. Emily, relentless, followed up by lunging forward with a quick, low sweep of her tail. The tail, enhanced by Emily’s demonic energy, aimed to trip Magzi and bring her to the ground.

Magzi, though momentarily off-balance, managed to regain her footing with a swift step backward. She countered by channeling her own mana into her sword, causing it to emit a faint glow. Magzi lunged forward, performing a series of rapid slashes aimed at Emily’s abdomen.

Emily, relying on her agility, executed a series of backward flips. She used her wings to propel herself out of the path of Magzi’s slashes, momentarily taking to the air. However, Magzi’s relentless attacks forced Emily to focus on evading, momentarily preventing her from launching a counterattack.

The battle continued with a continous exchange of strikes, parries, and evasions, each combatant using their unique strengths. Emily’s demonic prowess clashed with Magzi’s skilled swordplay, creating a display of agility and skill on the battlefield.

As the battle intensified, Emily’s demonic energy surged, manifesting in a sudden increase in her speed. She blurred across the battlefield, leaving afterimages in her wake. Magzi, momentarily taken back by Emily’s sudden burst in speed, struggled to keep up with the accelerated attacks.

Emily, using her enhanced speed, darted around Magzi with skill. Her claws sliced through the air like razor-sharp blades, leaving deep gashes on Magzi’s armor. Blood sprayed from the wounds, staining Magzi’s armor and the ground beneath her. Each strike tested the limits of Magzi’s endurance, the metallic tang of blood mixwd with the acrid scent of battle.

Bellua, the elf mage, and Zeki, the alchemist, were by Yandol’s side. Bellua, with her flowing purple and white robes, cast anxious glances between Yandol and the advancing demons. "My Lord, please reconsider. Your safety is crucial for the people’s future," she urged, her violet eyes reflecting concern.

Zeki, the alchemist, chimed in, "Bellua is right, my lord. We can’t afford to lose you. Let us handle the demons; you focus on leading the evacuation."

Just as Yandol was about to respond, a group of demons, drawn by their gathering, approached, disrupting their conversation. Swords clashed against claws, and the guards fought as hard as they could to keep the demons at bay.

During the chaotic battle, Yandol, Bellua, and Zeki showcased their prowess.

Yandol outstretched his right hand. Without an incantation, a bright blue magic circle instantly materialized with it. Ice seemed to condense into a sword.

Instantly, Yandol took hold of it. He then propelled himself into action, his swordsmanship was unmatched, each swing precise and powerful. Bellua, with her elven agility, unleashed spells to repel the demonic forces. Zeki, having consumed a concoction to enhance his abilities, used alchemical explosions to create openings in the demonic ranks.

Despite their best efforts, the demons proved relentless. The clash of weapons, the screams of the wounded, and the chilling growls of demons created a symphony of chaos. Yandol, recognizing the gravity of the situation, made a swift decision.

"Captain Erion, assemble the guards and adventurers. We will push back these demons and avenge the fallen. We cannot let them reach the heart of our territory," Yandol commanded, his voice cutting through the snowy street.

The royal guards and adventurers rallied around Yandol. The alliance between guards and adventurers formed a front against the demonic invaders. The battle intensified as each side fought for control over the icy terrain.

Yandol, witnessing his soldiers and adventurers still being slaughtered, decided to unleash a powerful move. Mana began to gather around him as bluish scales started to emerge around his back and arms.

Captain Erion, catching a glimpse of this while engaged with a demon, urged his lord to stop. Yandol heard him but chose to proceed. Suddenly, time seemed to slow down as he gestured his hand forward, saying, "Be gone, foul creatures." A massive gust of very cold air emanated from his body, instantly freezing all the approaching demons.

Both those in the air and on the ground, the airborne ones fell to the floor and shattered into a thousand pieces, bringing an abrupt end to the battle.

Afterward, Yandol let out a visible breath of very cold air as he managed to stay on his feet. His skin appeared affected by serious frostbite, and the scales that had emerged earlier were still present.
