Chapter 49 Going All Out I
Going All Out
"Those of you carrying Legend Sword Shards, come forward if you wish to live." When these words dropped, the whole place suddenly fell silent.
'Legend Sword Shards?' Christopher was slightly confused at the term. He assumed that the Voidwalkers wanted something, and he was right. But he had no idea as to what that thing was.
Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Paul's face tighten ever so slightly while Sylvaris frowned.
'Must be pretty important. Must be the Shards of some Divine weapon. Or something like that.' He analysed and continued to look around quietly.
It was eerie how silent everyone had become. Just a moment ago, there were all sorts of exclamations coming from each party. However, the instant the sword Shards were mentioned, everyone shut their mouths. Almost as if by agreement.
Seeing this, the Voidwalker taking the lead spoke again.
"I won't say it again. If you want to live, those of you harboring the Legend Sword Shards should come forward. Or else we'll take them off your corpses." He sounded slightly annoyed, but even then, no one spoke.
In fact, Gideon began to see traces of grim determination in their eyes, causing him to frown.
'The hell? It's clear everyone here knows what he's talking about. But those gazes, they'd actually rather die than talk? Just how important are these Shards?'Christopher thought with confusion.
While the different powers didn't seem to have a bad relationship with each other save for a few races, he didn't think there would be something capable of making all of them stand together. There was definitely something he was missing.
"Dreamer." Sylvaris suddenly whispered.
"What's your plan? Now would be a good time to implement it." Hearing this, Paul looked on with confusion while Aisha's eyes lit up.
Christopher looked back up at the group of Voidwalkers and nodded.
Despite not being able to use Mana, his Runic Insight still applied. He could see that the runes making up the bodies of the Voidwalkers were still vibrant, meaning they could use Mana without any issue. But beyond that, there was a strange film covering their bodies.
And then for those who had the strange cubes in their bodies, Christopher realised they were the ones that were preventing the use of Mana in the place enclosed by this barrier.
'Interesting. If those cubes are able to remove the runes and Mana in a certain place, that means they aren't items under the jurisdiction of Creation since runes are what make up the world. That's... definitely unsettling.' Christopher thought before looking at Sylvaris and her daughter and then at Paul.
"You guys should get behind Me." He said softly and the mother daughter duo obeyed without hesitation while Paul lingered for a moment before nodding.
"You guys will protect everyone else here. Alright?" Christopher said to the rest of his cohort who nodded calmly.
Then he let out a breath and straightened before walking forward.
Yes, the surrounding Mana including the one in his body had been removed, however, Christopher still had his connection to his Dimension which was filled to the brim with runes and Mana that were tens of thousands of times more dense and pure than whatever Mana was on this Island.
And so through that connection, Christopher could draw upon immense amounts of Mana to aid him at any point in time.
Seeing the masked individual walk forward, the leading Voidwalker tilted his head.
"Dreamer isn't it? I didn't expect to see you here. But then again it shouldn't be too surprising." He spoke calmly and all gazes fell on Christopher, some were curious and others were suspicious.
Christopher rolled his shoulders and cracked his neck.
However, since they were connected to Christopher via the Dimension, it wasn't odd that they too could draw upon the brilliant Mana that resided within.
As such, they could use magic no problem as well. And to an even higher degree since the Mana they used was so pure. After All, the purer the Mana, the better the quality of the magic.
'Master! Can we get to killing now?!' Christopher chuckled at the impatient voice of his weapon.
'Yes yes. We can get to killing.' His reply caused the blade to transmit a deep childlike joy in his mind that caused him to grin.
After that, Christopher did a few things right before the barrier fully collapsed.

First, he activated the effects of his equipment, the Mask of the Dreamer and his Jormungandr's Mantle were turned on.
Immediately he did so, his body seemed to become slightly illusory and blurry, like a Mirage. And if one took their eyes off him for just an instant, they'd question if he had even been there at all.
Also, a cloud of Baleful poison appeared around his figure. When it appeared the ground beneath his feet started to corrode and even space started to gain a sickly green hue as one passive effect of the armour had been activated.
Then, Christopher began to get serious.
'It's about time I went all out with all the means at my disposal.' As he had that thought, his Mana began to soar as he mumbled.
"Elemental fusion." All of this happened in the span of a second.
Suddenly, wisps of darkness and electricity surged around his sword, then the two destructive elements fused, behind terrifying black electricity that crackled on the surface of the blade.
Then, wisps of light and fire also surged around his body and his hair moved as if blown by wind.
The two elements fused to create white fire that was different from the one Christopher used before. It was still terrifying hot, but it also possessed the light attribute, not only making it terrifying towards normal enemies, but anything with an element remotely related to darkness as well.
The flames covered his body and blazed with incredible brilliance, as such, he had an aura around him reminiscent of a certain character who screamed a lot.
But he still wasn't done.
He snapped his fingers and his runes condensed to create two clones that looked identical to him, but also a bit different.
One of them had icy blue hair and in his hands. A pair of exquisitely made daggers with the same color could be seen. And on the other side, the clone had bright green hair and wielded A staff that shone with an invigorating light.
Then, Christopher held out his free hand and a brilliant multicoloured totem pole appeared in it.
He stick it into the ground and immediately he did, it shone brightly before getting off a pulse that covered him and his cohort.
Immediately, they felt their strength rise tenfold And their Auras became even more vibrant.
At this point, the blood barrier finally shattered. However, the instant it did, the two attackers at the forefront found their heads rolling to the floor while the ranged attacks dissipated before even touching Christopher.
"Now then." Christopher held Scarlet in a two handed grip as he entered a stance.
"How about I pay back with some interest huh?"
