Chapter 24 Kana Pt.1

Next morning came and Yenna got up early, heading into the forest to pick out some fruits. She didn't take long, come back with arms full finding Vell getting up, his eyes looking tired, as if he didn't get enough sleep. He waved at her, his body looking like it was about to fall back to the ground.

"Rough night?" She asked, putting the fruits in front of him.

He picked one up and took a bite, "yeah, my body is still in bad shape from all the things that have been going on, it feels like my veins trying to tie themselves in knots."

She sat down next to him, took at fruit and played with it, her thoughts drifting away. She glanced at him and hesitated before finally asking, "just what happened? not just last night but back in the city. what happened when i passed out."

He thought for a moment, just eating without answering and then he looked at her, seeing how she is genuinely concerned about his health.

".....its all in the past now, dont worry about it. For now, just eat and get ready, you didn't forget about your training right?"

"I am still worried but if you say its ok then i will believe you. What will you be doing while i train?"

He looked over to the other side of the river, sensing a dark power now that his senses were sharper. "I have something i want to check out, i won't be long."

He whistled and Wren jumped on his lap, rubbing herself against him. "I am going to leave Yenna in your care ok? train her well, dont go easy on her." She purred, acknowledging his command.

"When I come back, we are going to work on refining your core, until then, just learn about feeling the mana all around you and controlling it." He got up, licking his lips and stretching his body.

"Be careful out there, this forest is full of surprises."

"Yeah, i am a careful guy."

"Safe huh...." Memories of when she saw him played in her mind and she just could not help worrying. "Ok, change of plans, we are going to meet that team of hers and ask some questions."

"Huh, that's a terrible idea. What do you think will happen if we go around asking questions. We will come off as suspicious, lets just go with the original plan and leave the city, please don't-"

"I have decided, either you come with or leave, it wouldn't change anything either way."

She got up and walked out of the store, the look in her eyes determined for her answers.

'She has become so cold hearted, does she miss him that much? dammit, i can't just let her go alone, she is going to get herself caught. fuck my life.'

He ran after her and they began looking all over the city for their target until finally, after hours of looking, they found the group leaving a love motel, looking all satisfied. Kana was disgusted at the sight of a girl coming out with 3 guys at her side but this also pissed her off for some reason.

"h-hey, calm down, you are going to end up doing something stupid....kana?" His widened in horror as she was not listening and charging up an attack. "woah woah, Kana, hold o-" She leaped at them and does a flip, landing on the girls head with on hand. The girl looked up in confusion and anger.

"which fucker-....Kana?"

"Hey there, we need to have a little chat."

The girl signaled all her boys to do something but they didn't, they were frozen and then they slowly began falling down, knocked out.

"Alone."

Her eyes were filled with bloodlust and Jolly was about to piss herself just from the fear alone.
