Chapter 1171 - 8-12: Where Did Pipi Go? (2)

Baz rolled his eyes. "Bragging? Just wait till you read the military bulletin, then you’ll know whether I’m bragging or not."The Private First Class also rolled his eyes, absolutely refusing to believe it.

"Bro, which unit are you guys from?" A Corporal beside them changed the subject, pointed at Baz’s uniform, and asked, "How come we’ve never seen this kind of uniform before?"

"We’re not regular army," Baz chuckled, flashing the insignia on his shoulder. "Mars bandits, ever heard of us?"

The Corporal stared blankly at the big "bandit" character and shook his head in a daze. Someone calling themselves the bandit army—that was a first. The Private First Class, however, had his eyes light up and said excitedly, "I’ve heard of that. Mars was taken by a force called the bandit army. Then it got taken over by the Feiyang people. I heard the bandit army’s Commander was a Leray colonel. Don’t tell me..."

"That’s us!" Baz lifted his chin proudly and pointed at the Fatty not far away. "That’s the colonel you’re talking about, now a Major General. Our boss."

"Impressive!" The Private First Class, who actually only knew a bit of surface-level stuff about the Mars campaign, quickly switched topics, giving a thumbs-up. "I’d heard the Leray Federation fought bravely. We didn’t really believe it before, but now I do. Forget everything else—just your General’s sniping alone really opened our eyes."

As he spoke, the Private First Class jutted his chin toward Feng Laos, who was hugging his sniper rifle, and said to Baz, "See that guy?"

"Sniper?" Baz glanced at the somewhat dejected Feng Laos.

"Three-star sniper. Twelve-man squads, he’s wiped out three of them. In half a year." The Private First Class grinned with gleeful malice. "Usually when he talks about shooting, his eyes are up on his forehead. Today he had to eat crow. That Fatty General of yours, in less than half an hour took out at least thirty of them! Wherever he pointed, that’s where he hit. That marksmanship is just godlike!"

Baz was naturally jumpy and admired his Fatty superior the most. Hearing the Private First Class intentionally praise him like this, he immediately grinned from ear to ear and started boasting. "That’s nothing. Honestly, if you guys ever see our General going all out in a Mecha... heh, your eyeballs will probably drop right out. In my whole life, Baz has barely ever admired anyone, but our General—I worship him body and soul."

"The Major General is a Mechanical Warrior?" The Chuckna Warriors crowding around to listen couldn’t help but be shocked. Mechanic Soldier Shen Ming hugged his gun tighter and asked in amazement, "Isn’t he a Mechanic?"

"Who says a Mechanic can’t be a Mechanical Warrior?" Baz curled his lip.

"What level?" Samson, who had long been unable to hold back, finally asked. After he heard these guys were from Mars, this last surviving Mechanical Warrior in the company simply couldn’t stop his heart from pounding.

"What level?" Baz froze, scratched his head. "That I really don’t know. Can’t quite count it out."

He wasn’t putting on airs. The truth was, whether it was the military system or the civilian Mecha Fighting World’s system, even for them it was barely applicable anymore, let alone enough to measure their great Fatty superior.

The Chuckna Warriors exchanged confused looks, not quite understanding. In this world, was there really a Mech Knight who didn’t know his own level? How could a level be something you "can’t quite count"?

Samson pointed at Cosmo beside the Mecha. "Then this guy has to be at least an Level 8 Mecha Warrior, right?"

"Military Level 8 is what, about forty-five actions per second? You’re looking down on him way too much." Baz never spoke unless it was shocking, and this one sentence blew everyone’s minds. "Using our civilian Mech Knight standards, that guy’s probably around Level 1 Mecha Commander level right now. He’s still a bit short, but his hand speed’s hitting sixty-two moves a second."

As he said this, Baz glanced at Cosmo and raised his voice deliberately. "But don’t let his smug face fool you. If we hadn’t lost at rock-paper-scissors, would it even be his turn to go up?!"

Hearing Baz’s completely unfiltered shout, Cosmo’s eyebrow twitched faintly in the distance.

The Chuckna Warriors sitting around Baz simply could not believe their ears. Samson stammered, "Level 1 Mecha Commander, six... sixty-two moves?"

Their dazed gazes all locked onto Cosmo.

Cosmo patted his Pipi, then stepped through the muddy water at the bottom of the crater, walking toward the Fatty seated farther away.

Baz was lively, loved to brag, loved to mess with people, and loved making friends and cracking jokes. His temperament, on the other hand, was much steadier. What Phantom Stream had gone through before meeting the Fatty was enough to make this Young Sect Master far more mature than most. For him, beating a Jiepeng Mechanic whose hand speed didn’t even reach thirty moves per second, then showing off in front of a bunch of infantry, really had no meaning.

Only Baz would enjoy that endlessly.

Samson stared dumbly at Cosmo’s back as he walked away, totally unable to believe that this guy in his twenties, who looked just like some college student, was actually a Mech Knight with a hand speed of sixty-two moves per second!

In this age of Mecha, some people might not know what "Level 1 Mecha Commander" meant, but nobody was ignorant of what sixty-two moves per second meant!

In Chuckna, top-ranked Level 9 Mecha Warriors only had a hand speed of around fifty moves per second. Sixty moves a second—that was a Level 10 Mecha Warrior! Don’t just talk about the Infantry Division—even if you combed through every Mechanical Division in all of Chuckna, you wouldn’t find one! As far as Samson knew, the most elite Mechanical Warrior currently in Chuckna only peaked at barely fifty-five moves per second!

"That’s impossible!" After being stunned for so long, Samson suddenly jumped up like a cat with its tail stepped on.
