Chapter 793 - Star River Valley

Chapter 793 - Star River Valley

Liu Wuxie had no intention of explaining as they were his enemies.

"Brat, you can die now!" the young man roared, lunging forward like a soaring eagle, his sword aimed directly at Liu Wuxie's head. He unleashed his strongest attack, determined to end the battle before Liu Wuxie had a chance to react.

They could see many people approaching from a distance, all with the same goal of seizing the jade tokens of any participants passing by. After collecting enough jade tokens, they planned to leave for the Star River Valley.

As the sword aura closed in, Liu Wuxie remained still and waited silently with no signs of fear. When the youth was three meters from Liu Wuxie, he raised the Heretic Blade.

"Die!" he said, his voice devoid of grand proclamations or displays of overwhelming pressure—just a simple, chilling word that carried the weight of death itself. The sound seemed to seep into the very fabric of the air as if a reaper had spoken its decree.

In the next instant, the Heretic Blade split through the air, its deadly arc unleashed.

The man charging over suddenly froze and couldn't take another step forward. He began to crack apart, with his blood dyeing the ground red. Even in his last moments, he couldn't comprehend how Liu Wuxie's blade had moved so quickly. It was so fast that his mind couldn't process it in time, and he had already been split in two.

In the distance, Zhang Yun and his two companions stood frozen, their faces pale with shock as the scene before them shattered their understanding of reality.

"How is this possible?" Zhang Yun muttered, his face filled with disbelief. The man Liu Wuxie had just slain was someone whose strength matched their own, yet he had been killed in a single strike without even having the chance to resist.

The three exchanged uneasy glances, each seeing the same fear reflected in the others' eyes. They silently contemplated their options—should they fight or flee?

However, one thing was certain—hesitation had crept into their hearts. They knew it was better to retreat and wait for another prey to continue their ambush, as Liu Wuxie was too terrifying.

"What are you people waiting for? Do I have to force all three of you to fight?" Liu Wuxie questioned coldly. Since they had run into each other and wanted to rob him of his jade tokens, he would ensure none of them would leave alive.

"Go at him together!" Zhang Yun finally commanded, gritting his teeth. He knew that retreating now would scar their dao hearts, marking them as cowards who had fled from someone at the first level of the Nascent Transformation Realm.

The other two nodded and wielded their weapons to form a triangular formation, trapping Liu Wuxie within.

"Make your move," Liu Wuxie said calmly, inviting them to strike first as he shifted into a battle stance. There were many variations to True Strike, and when overlapped, they could create effects beyond imagination.

"You can die now!" Zhang Yun roared, swinging his sword with full force. A powerful shockwave erupted, sweeping the rocks from the ground and forming a raging vortex.

"Divine Black Tiger Sword!"

"Radiant Light Sword!"

"Purple Vine Sword!" The three unleashed their strongest attacks at once.

They had fused their dao techniques with their sword techniques. The moment they unleashed their attacks, the surroundings plunged into darkness, and their sword aura devoured all the laws.

They knew they only had one chance, and if they missed it, it would be impossible to kill Liu Wuxie.

Liu Wuxie didn't dare to be careless, as each of those three techniques could easily defeat any cultivators at the pinnacle of the Nascent Transformation Realm. Not many could deal with their well-coordinated attacks.

Liu Wuxie quickened his pace and reached the Star River Valley before nightfall. Hundreds of disciples were in the valley, and Liu Wuxie's appearance instantly caught everyone's attention. They were surprised to see him alive.

"Wuxie, you're finally here!" Liu Xin'er sprinted over at the sight of Liu Wuxie.

After entering the Star River Valley, exchanging jade tokens was strictly forbidden to prevent cheating.

Since she had reached the Star River Valley four days earlier, Liu Xin'er had been worried about Liu Wuxie's safety during the past few days.

"Brat, I'm impressed you made it here alive!" A group of ten approached Liu Wuxie, and each wore a playful smirk. They were curious how Liu Wuxie had managed to survive.

"Get lost," Liu Wuxie said coldly, his sharp gaze cutting into them like a blade. He could sense the malice emanating from them, and while exchanging jade tokens was forbidden within the Star River Valley, that didn't stop people from provoking fights—as long as no one died.

"Liu Wuxie, you're courting death!" one of them growled, his expression darkening. The group of ten, who were acquaintances, hadn't anticipated such bold defiance from someone they considered beneath them.

"Oh? You want to fight me?" Liu Wuxie asked with a mocking smile, his gaze sweeping over the group. They were at the higher levels of the Nascent Transformation Realm, but judging by their behavior, they likely hadn't accumulated many points. They were probably there to see who would claim the top spot in the recruitment test.

"Let me teach this arrogant brat a lesson!" A man walked over. He had a grim face and a crooked nose. Anyone could tell he was a vicious person.

"Li Shang, you'll regret it if you lay a hand on him!" Liu Xin'er said sharply, stepping in front of Liu Wuxie. Although she was aware of his strength, she knew the risk of him facing ten opponents simultaneously.

"Liu Xin'er, get lost! This has nothing to do with you," Li Shang said. He hailed from Astral Glory City and was a disciple of the Li Clan. While the Li Clan wasn't comparable to the Liu Clan in terms of fame, they were still a force to be reckoned with.

"You're courting death!" Liu Xin'er's snapped. Everyone was aware of her fiery temper. Though she often seemed mild and tamed when with Liu Wuxie, to the outside world, she was a feared demoness.

Without hesitation, she lashed her whip at Li Shang's waist, the crack echoing like thunder. The whip snapped back with deadly precision, forming a powerful arc aimed directly at his neck. If the attack landed, there was no doubt—it would decapitate him on the spot.

No one had expected Liu Xin'er to attack so abruptly.

"You're the one courting death!" Li Shang was enraged. His initial target was Liu Wuxie, but Liu Xin'er had intervened.

In terms of strength, Liu Xin'er was stronger than Li Shang as she had recently made a breakthrough to the ninth-level Nascent Transformation Realm, while Li Shang was only in the eighth level.

Li Shang drew his sword and launched himself into the air, narrowly avoiding Liu Xin'er's whip before thrusting his blade toward her chest. His attack was ruthless from the start, targeting an area considered dishonorable in combat—whether it was aiming at a woman's chest or a man's crotch. His actions made it clear that Li Shang was no gentleman and had no sense of honor.

Liu Xin'er was enraged by Li Shang's actions. She didn't expect him to be so shameless. With a flick of her wrist, she swept up a layer of fallen leaves from the ground to block Li Shang's attack as they both stepped back.

Their fast and precise movements proved they understood each other well. However, they clashed again without hesitation, exchanging several attacks in rapid succession.

Although Liu Xin'er had the advantage of higher cultivation, both were equally strong, making it difficult for her to secure an easy victory.

The whip crackled through the air, forcing Li Shang into a defensive stance and preventing him from taking a step forward. Frustration gradually built within him, until he let out an enraged growl.

The onlookers burst into laughter as they watched him struggle helplessly against a woman.
