Chapter 432: Erased From Existence
Harry's entire body was encased in a vibrant blue light that pulsed from him to the focus of his magic.
The goblin-forged steel staff before him spun so fast that it became a silver blur enveloped in the glow.
As Harry completed his spell, a beam of blue light shot out, striking Voldemort squarely in the chest as the Dark Lord struggled fruitlessly to break free.
The light engulfed Voldemort's body, imbuing it with the same radiant brilliance. From him, the glow passed along the strands of light connected to his form.
One strand stretched into the distance, while others ascended into the breach in the sky, seeking their targets across countless universes and timelines.
In a secluded corner of Romania, deep underground, lay a hidden laboratory filled with Voldemort's most guarded secrets.
Not even Bellatrix Lestrange, his most loyal follower, was aware of its existence or location.
Beneath this fortress of secrecy, secured behind nine powerful seals, rested the Dark Lord's most precious possession...a phylactery.
Encased in a metal shell and further protected by a crystal enclosure, the phylactery housed a green, glowing substance: Voldemort's soul, the anchor of his immortality.
Now, a string of pure magic was tethered to it. The string glowed with a menacing blue hue, signaling the impending destruction of the soul trapped within.
The soul quivered, aware of its doom, but powerless to act. The phylactery was a prison, and a new connection could only form after the previous one was broken.
Daphne's frustration boiled over. "Just give him to me!"
Enkara's gaze hardened, her tone shifting to a sharper edge. "I don't take orders from you."
Despite the fear that gripped her, Daphne stood firm, clenching her teeth.
After a tense moment, Enkara's smile returned, and the oppressive aura dissipated. "I see why he chose you... Here, take him."
She handed Harry's limp body to Daphne, who cradled him as if afraid he might break.
Looking down at his pale face, Daphne's voice trembled. "Is he...?" She couldn't finish the question.
" He is alive, but barely." Enkara glanced at the jewels. " There was a strand of magic that remained inside those things..." She shrugged. " But don't ask me about it. I don't know much about your wizard toys. "
"Harry!"
"My boy!"
James and Lily arrived at Daphne's side.
"I should take my leave now," Enkara said, turning to gather her kin. "I have one final order to fulfill."
Before disappearing, she glanced back. "Take care of him. Even from afar, he will always be my Master." And with that, the vampires vanished into the night.
"Harry, please, open your eyes!" Lily begged, tears streaming down her face.
"Is he...?" James asked, his voice quaking with fear.
"He's still alive," Daphne reassured them, though her own voice was shaky. "We need to get him to a healer."
"Keep him there!"
The group turned to see Madam Pomfrey rushing toward them, followed closely by Professor McGonagall and other Hogwarts staff.
Daphne looked back at Harry's unconscious face, her heart heavy. "You're going to be fine... I promise."
