Harry Potter: Westeros's Plant Life

0130 The Memory

0130 The Memory

Adrian noticed that Ravenclaw was looking at him.

The sensation of being watched felt so real, as if he wasn't merely viewing a memory but truly standing before this legendary witch.

Of course, this was only an illusion.

He could be certain that this was merely a memory.

"Hello, stranger," Ravenclaw said. "If you're seeing this memory, you should have a gemstone in your hand, along with a parchment scroll—like these."

She raised the two items in her hands as she spoke.

Then Ravenclaw set down the two objects and smiled slightly. "Before our formal conversation begins, I'd like to know—have you already obtained the diadem I left behind?"

Adrian's heart skipped a beat.

Ravenclaw's diadem was lying in his storage space at this very moment!

"Excellent," Ravenclaw seemed to anticipate Adrian's thoughts and nodded slightly. "Do you see the gemstone in my hand? Don't doubt it—it's the very one you possess. I will soon infuse this memory into it."

"You must have worn my diadem, which is why my raven puppets were able to find you. There's an identical gemstone on my diadem—they're a matching set."

"As for this parchment scroll—" When Ravenclaw mentioned this, her eyes suddenly dimmed. "I suspect it was never delivered to my daughter, Helena Ravenclaw."

"Please deliver it to my daughter. In return, the gemstone in your hand will be restored to its complete form."

"As for the diadem, I would prefer you give it to a Ravenclaw student or return it to Hogwarts. Of course—the choice is yours."

The memory ended there.

Adrian felt a wave of intense dizziness as the scene before his eyes shattered like a broken mirror.

The next second, his vision had returned to the headmaster's office.

When he looked at the Pensieve again, those silvery-white substances had already dissipated.

It seemed these memories were one-time use only.

Adrian stood in place for a while, slowly organizing what he had witnessed.

He had roughly pieced together the story's beginning and end.

In the original story, Ravenclaw's daughter Helena stole the diadem and fled to Albania.

Later, the dying Ravenclaw sent Barrow to find her daughter, hoping to see her one last time.

The ravens Adrian encountered in Albania—Ravenclaw's "raven puppets"—were probably dispatched around the same time to deliver messages.

Perhaps because Barrow accidentally killed Helena, those ravens could never find her. After wandering for a thousand years, they finally encountered Adrian, who carried the scent of Ravenclaw's diadem, and delivered Ravenclaw's gemstone and letter to him.

And Ravenclaw—she had probably foreseen this situation through some means and left a memory in the gemstone beforehand, hoping Adrian would continue delivering the letter to Helena.

Of course, all of this was Adrian's speculation.

However, he now had one question—how could Ravenclaw be certain that he was the one who obtained the gemstone and letter?

From what she said in the memory, she seemed confident he could successfully deliver the letter to her daughter.

This was too strange.

After all, probably only he in this world could successfully complete the letter delivery task.

If it were anyone else, they wouldn't possibly know that the Hogwarts ghost, the Grey Lady, was Helena, and thus couldn't complete the delivery mission.

In the end, Adrian could only speculate that this must be some kind of prophecy—a thousand years ago, Ravenclaw already knew Adrian would help deliver the letter to her daughter.

Adrian remained lost in thought until Dumbledore patted his shoulder, bringing him back to his senses.

"What's wrong? Did something happen?" he asked with concern.

"Nothing," Adrian shook his head calmly. "This was an old wizard's memory, hoping I could help him with something."

Dumbledore didn't seem inclined to probe further, simply nodding slightly. "I hope everything goes well."

After leaving the headmaster's office, Adrian began

The silvery-white ghost's form paused, slowly turning around. The Grey Lady—or rather, Helena Ravenclaw—looked at Adrian calmly and said, "Is there something you need?"

Seeing this, Adrian smiled slightly. "There's a letter for you, my lady."

He handed her the parchment scroll.

The Grey Lady dubiously reached out to touch the parchment. Unexpectedly, the parchment didn't pass through her hand like other objects, but settled firmly in her palm.

The moment the parchment touched her, it suddenly glowed with a gentle blue light.

"This is..." The Grey Lady's voice suddenly trembled.

She quickly untied the rope binding the parchment and eagerly unfolded the letter.

Adrian considerately turned to leave but heard an almost inaudible sob.

Looking back, he saw tears glistening in this proud ghost's eyes—apparently, ghosts could cry too.

"Thank you." The Grey Lady's voice was as soft as a sigh.

"You're welcome." He smiled in response. "I'll be going now. See you later, Grey Lady."

With that, Adrian turned and left.

He didn't care what the letter contained—he was merely a messenger.

In fact, he could already guess: it was nothing more than a mother's love, arriving a thousand years too late.

On his way to his office, Adrian took out the blue gemstone again. The tiny cracks on its surface were healing at a visible rate.

Clearly, Ravenclaw was right—after the letter was delivered, the gemstone in his hand would be restored.

"Eldra."
