"I'm afraid I cannot let you do that," Ryuen replied blankly.

But as she leaned closer, the wet fabric clung to her skin, revealing enough to make him frown.

Still, Ryuen had the self-control of a monk.

He wouldn't dare defy the king's daughter, especially while he remained a prisoner.

"I'm not interested, and besides, I wouldn't dare touch the daughter of a man who has been good to me," he said firmly.

She smiled in response.

Erina closed the gap between them, her hands returning to rest around his neck.

"You'd have to be a deity to even think about touching me," she smirked. Her crimson eyes glowed faintly, almost sinister.

In the dark, one could mistake them for floating balls of light

"But you could earn it," she whispered, her tone soft yet provocative.

Ryuen stared at her in disbelief. The second their eyes met, the thought crossed his mind:

"You're a Yandere?"

"A what?" Erina asked calmly, her fingers already pulling the bands from his hair, one hand combing through it gently.

"Never mind," Ryuen muttered, finally letting his hands rest on her waist.

He sighed, his shoulders relaxing slightly, though disappointment lingered in his mind.

While his peers were out frolicking with their lovers and friends.

He found himself caught in these strange, uncomfortable situations.

Most of them likely had body counts higher in romance than he did in kills, and his one "romantic" encounter? A setup.

Still, he couldn't deny he'd enjoyed that fleeting moment.

The girl had been beautiful, sweet, and perfect—too perfect.

She had a great voice, was an incredible cook, a perfect lover, and somehow managed to balance being both submissive and dominant.

In bed, she was skilled.

Her kisses? Divine.

Her attitude, her body, her entire being was the embodiment of what parents dream of for their sons.

And yet, he hadn't cared.

She was too perfect, and perfection bored him. Besides, he wasn't perfect himself—so why would he want someone who was?

Still, it had been years since he'd allowed himself to be touched intimately.@@@@

Even his aura made others cautious and scared.

He was the kind, approachable teacher at the academy, but at beyond the walls of the school, he was the cold, heartless man cloaked in shadows.

"You're something else, you know that?" he muttered, gazing into Erina's glowing crimson eyes, catching his reflection in them.

"Hmm," he murmured, gently touching his face.

"That was... something."

Erina, still standing there with her hand mid-air, gasped, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment as realization struck her.

"Oh my gods! I—I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to—"

Ryuen slowly turned his head back to her, a strange smirk tugging at his lips.

"Don't be," he said, his tone calm and almost amused.

"This is the first time I've been slapped for... well, this reason. I'd call it an accomplishment."

Erina blinked at him, utterly confused. "An accomplishment? Are you out of your mind?"

He chuckled softly, rubbing his cheek as though savoring the sting.

"Think about it. Most people just blush and ask for more. But a slap? That's personal. That takes effort."

Her jaw dropped. "You're insane," she muttered, pinching the bridge of her nose.

"I can't believe I'm apologizing to you right now."

"And yet, here you are," Ryuen said with a playful smirk, tilting his head slightly.

"Apology accepted, by the way. Although..." He leaned forward slightly, lowering his voice.

"Next time, aim a little softer. I might not survive another one."

Erina stared at him, caught between irritation and disbelief. "You're unbelievable."

"I get that a lot," Ryuen replied nonchalantly as he raised himself up and stretched casually, as though the slap had reset him.

Before Erina could retort, the door creaked open, and Yuta poked his head inside. His expression was a mixture of worry and hesitation.

"Ryuen," Yuta said quietly, his gaze shifting from Ryuen to Erina, who simply waved with a smile.

"Oh, am I interrupting something?"

Ryuen shook his head, still glad Yuta had finally spoken up. "Is something wrong?"

"Can I talk to you? It's... very important," Yuta replied, his voice steady but urgent.

Ryuen immediately straightened, the playful smirk fading as he caught the unease in Yuta's tone.

"Yeah, sure," he replied, gesturing for Yuta to come in.

Erina crossed her arms, her crimson eyes darting between them with curiosity and skepticism.

"I'll leave you two to your... important talk," she muttered, leaning close to Ryuen as she chuckled softly.

"Next time, you won't escape so easily," she whispered before stepping out of the bath, her flawless figure visible under the wet fabric.

She didn't care as she strode past Yuta without a second glance—though she did cast him a brief, icy glare.

As the door closed behind her, Ryuen turned to Yuta, his expression softening into one of calm concern, almost paternal.

"Alright," Ryuen said, folding his arms. "What's going on?"
