Chapter 163
Chapter 163
On Tuesday, Minami Yuuki received paper cranes from both Asano Nao and his younger sister, Minami Airi.
Asano Nao’s paper cranes were exceptionally delicate, with high-quality paper and elegant colors. In contrast, while Minami Airi’s cranes were also carefully folded, their pink paper made them look much cheaper.
Minami Yuuki packed both sets of paper cranes neatly and placed them inside the closet. The moment he received them, their meaning was already gone.

[You have received a heartfelt gift from Minami Airi.]
[Simulation count +0.5]
With the 0.5 simulation count he originally had, his remaining count now totaled 2. After completing Nakajima Reina’s free simulation, he would still have one left.
However, this number was lower than Minami Yuuki had expected.
He had thought that since so many days had passed before asking Asano Nao and Airi for paper cranes again, he would receive more simulation counts—not necessarily as much as the first time, but at least some increase.
Yet, despite the long gap, the number of simulation counts remained unchanged.
Was the interval still too short? Or was the first time an exception, and all subsequent gifts would only yield this fixed amount? Minami Yuuki figured it was probably the latter.
It seemed that if he wanted to accumulate simulation counts in the future, he would either have to collect them bit by bit or cast a wider net.
After pondering briefly, he lay down on his bed.
Time to complete Nakajima Reina’s free simulation first!

Turning his head, he looked at his daughter. Her hair was messy, her pajamas bunched up, exposing her little belly button. She rubbed her sleepy eyes and yawned. She was adorable—slender arms and legs, like a doll, albeit a rather disheveled one.
“Mommy, clothes,” the four-year-old said in her soft, sleepy voice.
Still drowsy, she raised both arms, expecting her mother to help her out of her pajamas and into a dress.
“Mommy went to Auntie Nao’s place,” Minami Yuuki said, walking over to the bed. He gently pinched his daughter’s cheek. She might look a bit scruffy, but just seeing her and hearing her voice filled him with joy.
“Then Daddy, dress me!” she corrected herself, stretching her arms toward him.
Oh? A scene where he gets to pick out a cute dress for his daughter? Minami Yuuki’s heart raced with excitement.
Now that he thought about it, in all his free simulations, he had never once changed his daughter’s outfit. Finally, today was the day!
Should he go for a casual sundress or an elegant princess gown? A cute pink dress or a pure white one? What about socks—should he pick matching ones, or just let her go barefoot?
After much deliberation, he settled on a black Gothic-style princess dress with white stockings. Now, it was time to put the plan into action.
But there was a small problem.
Where was Manatsu’s wardrobe?
Minami Yuuki pulled up the memory search bar in his mind, typed in the query, and hit search.
No results found.
...Why wasn’t it there?
Wait. Did he seriously not know where his own daughter’s clothes were kept?
Determined, he opened every wardrobe in the bedroom—no sign of her dresses. He stepped out and searched her room instead, rifling through all the cabinets.
He found winter clothes. But not a single summer dress.
“Daddy, what are you looking for?” Manatsu called out, standing barefoot in the doorway, peeking inside with curious eyes.
Telling her he was looking for her clothes? No way.
What kind of father didn’t even know where his daughter’s clothes were kept?
He patted her head and said, “Manatsu, Daddy’s giving you a little test. Do you know where all your pretty dresses are kept?”
“I know, I know!” she cheered, raising her hand. She ran into her room, stopping in front of a large full-length mirror. With a push, a hidden door swung open.
“They’re all in here! Mommy said keeping them hidden here is the safest, so the naughty little fairies won’t steal them!” she announced proudly.@@@@
