Chapter 641
Chapter 641
Chapter 641"This... this is the work of the Supreme Magus," Dame replied calmly, making everyone stare at him in awe and surprise.
"Huh?" Lance mumbled as he leaned forward, eyes glued to the gauntlets that had appeared from seemingly nowhere and settled around Dame’s hands like they belonged there from the start.
"What does it even do? I don’t get it," Brook asked, his brow raised while he studied the strange weapon.
"So what now? Because it can hide inside your skin, we are suddenly supposed to care?" Killian muttered, confusion and annoyance mixing on his face.
"No. Think back to my battle with Beatrix. You were there that day," Dame said as he turned toward Killian.
Killian’s brows wrinkled harder. "I still don’t see the connection."
"What does your fight with Beatrix have to do with this thing?" Alba asked as she stood slowly, her eyes narrowing.
"That is because this weapon is special," Dame began, and everyone leaned in quietly, the atmosphere suddenly heavy. "Not only can it camouflage itself into my skin, making it look like I carry no weapon at all, it can also fire out visible Ki fists."
"Wait, what?!" Ash shouted as he shot up from his chair, his robe brushing the floor.
"Yes," Dame replied while sweeping his gaze around the room. "I know it sounds unbelievable. If someone had told me that a stage four warrior could shoot visible Ki projectiles, I would have laughed and walked away. But I used it that day against Beatrix, and it worked."
"And we are supposed to swallow that?" Lance scoffed as he stepped forward. "We all know stage one to four warriors cannot display visible Ki. Only stage five and above can. Yet you claim you fired visible Ki fists with those gauntlets? Rubbish."
Dame sighed and opened his mouth to respond.
"How do I..."
"He isn’t lying," Killian cut in suddenly, his voice low. His head dipped slightly as his memory drifted back to the chaotic battle with the Umbrafell faction.
He could still picture it.
Beatrix’s monstrous killing intent.
Dame’s frantic movements.
The moment he glimpsed a burst of Ki flying from Dame’s direction.
At the time, he thought it came from Beatrix.
Now he knew better.hought was suicide. If he crafts weapons for us, we would be unmatched. Stronger. Fearsome. Maybe even capable of crushing the Aetherian faction.’
Her breaths deepened.
’Should I accept? Or decline? If I decline, I lose him. If I accept... I’m walking into madness with him.’
"So what do you say?" Grey asked, staring directly at her. "Time is running out. I don’t have much of it left."
Alba clenched her jaw.
’Damn it. Screw it.’
"I accept," she declared.
