Chapter 97 Suspicion
Chapter 97 Suspicion
suspicion
'what?!' christopher exclaimed in his mind, but he didn't have time to dwell as the process had already begun.
once more, he found that his consciousness had inexplicably been placed high above the dimension, and once again, he could get a clear view of the land that made up his dimension. however, there was something else.
he noticed his consciousness had been placed higher, as if to allow him to see something beyond his dimension. and there was indeed something else.
off to the side, a construct could be seen. but it was difficult to make out due to the lack of light it exuded. but that didn't really matter to christopher since it was his dimension, and all was made clear for him to see.
still, what he saw made his heart tremble.
the 'construct' wasn't actually a construct, and was in fact, a sphere the exact same size as the main part of his dimension that housed everything including the dimension core.
the surface of the sphere seemed perfectly smooth at a glance, but when one looked closer, they'd see that the surface was in fact, constantly shifting and morphing. and from it, christopher could see void creatures spawning.
but these weren't normal void creatures as he could sense that, within their bodies, there were traces of mana within them.
moreover, christopher could instinctively sense that they were docile.
[void dimension has been created.] hearing this, christopher felt a bit strange. the void dimension was still a part of his dimension, and seemed to mirror it except for the fact that everything within it was made up of void energy.
'interesting.' christopher thought as he observed the sphere. it and the main dimension spun around each other in what seemed like a steady orbit, and it all seemed stable.
'incredible.' he sighed. he knew that his ides would bear fruit.
it was also then that the system decided to give christopher even more surprises.
[as the master has achieved perfect harmony between reality and void, the master has gained the title of primordial arbiter.] the moment those words landed, christopher felt as though an explosion had erupted in his mind.
'what the...?'
'yeah no one will really want to look over nihilheim, since it's literally made of void energy, and there really isn't much to do there. hm...' he tilted his head as he thought.
'oh, i'll just create a clone.' he snapped his fingers and nodded to himself.
he remembered that his clones could act independently, however they were still anchored to him, so creating one for long term use wasn't very wise.
'in that case, i'll also anchor it to nihilheim, that way it can be sustained and act on its own without me constantly looming over it.' with that thought in mind, christopher closed his eyes.
using his new title, he called upon the vast amounts of void energy in possession and created a clone. it took a lot linger than he was expecting because he realised that void energy was a lot more... slippery to handle.
due to its formless nature, handling it wasn't as easy as handling mana. so it took him a moment to grasp properly. still, his new title made it so that such an action was as easy as breathing.
in no time, a perfect replica of christopher's stood in front of him. it had the same get up, looks, and everything, with the only difference being that his eyes, hair, and clothes were so dark that they literally absorbed light.
"hey you... me? whatever. so that place over there is under your jurisdiction. do what you want with it." christopher said to the clone that stared at nihilheim, his face completely emotionless.
"okay." his voice was monotone and crisp, and he wasted no time flying over to nihilheim.
christopher tilted his head with curiosity as he watched.
'now that i think about it, what's the point of nihilheim besides giving me lots of void energy and generating void creatures i assume i can use to fight? hm.' he wondered. he knew that there was a lot more to nihilheim that he wasn't aware of. sure void energy on its own was pretty impressive, something that could completely ignore the laws of reality could already be considered a boon. your journey continues at empire
but there had to be more to it than that. the void couldn't be the ultimate counter and enemy of creation if it could only do so much. so he was sure that he could do much more with it, he just needed to figure out how...
'the system can just tell you dumbass.' christopher rubbed his face with his hand as he remembered he had the perfect assistant at his disposal.
'actually not just that, i never checked the upgrades my dimension underwent after the last enhancement.' christopher suddenly remembered. he didn't check the new capabilities of his dimension as he went straight to fighting the void after it had been done.
so he decided to pull up his stat window to see just what had happened to his dimension.
"... well damn."
