Chapter 1066: Killing A Half Sage
Chapter 1066: Killing A Half Sage
“Now, show me who you are and who your mastermind is.”
Even now, Elder Tomb Keeper did not believe that a single Great Grandmaster would dare to plot against West Kunlun. He firmly believed that there must be a mastermind behind this Great Grandmaster.
However, as soon as his blood threads invaded Ye Qing’s headspace, he was immediately greeted by the sight of thick, vast, and profound dark yellow.
He also saw his black qi and white qi flying around haphazardly like headless flies, unable to break out of the cage the dark yellow world had confined them to.
This also meant that his Yin Yang Annihilation had not made contact with his opponent’s mind from the very beginning.
It’s a trap!
A terrible premonition suddenly appeared in Elder Tomb Keeper’s heart.
Before he could react, a dark yellow bell flew toward him.
Surrounded by black and yellow, the dark yellow bell emitted waves of profound and mysterious light of chaos.
It continuously grew in size as it flew, and its terrible might soon encompassed heaven and earth.
The black qi and white qi were destroyed even before the bronze bell could get close. As for Elder Tomb Keeper’s Crimson Blood, it was so terrified that it broke free from his control and struggled to escape Ye Qing’s headspace.
Elder Tomb Keeper dared not dilly-dally. He retook control of the Crimson Blood and tried to rip free from Ye Qing’s headspace.
It was at this moment a gust of dark yellow qi condensed into a fist and struck the bell.
THANG!
It was a grand bell chime that resounded throughout the heavens.
Elder Tomb Keeper’s wisp of spirit and the Crimson Blood instantly shattered to smithereens.
That wasn’t all. The bell chime repaid the favor by invading Elder Tomb Keeper’s headspace.
In just the blink of an eye, Elder Tomb Keeper’s headspace and spirit broke into pieces, and his mind and consciousness wobbled and dimmed rapidly like a candle flame in the middle of a downpour.
Elder Tomb Keeper’s complexion turned a sickly yellow at the same time blood flowed profusely out of his orifices. Crimson Blood was also ignoring his commands and flailing about, desperately trying to crawl out of his body before the inevitable claimed it. Unfortunately, it disintegrated the second it left Elder Tomb Keeper’s body.@@@@
At the same time, Ye Qing’s eyes regained their clarity. He looked at the semi-conscious Elder Tomb Keeper, clenched his fist, and generated dark yellow energy in his palm. Then, he punched the old man.
Of course, that very pride was the reason his downfall was set in stone from the moment Ye Qing decided to kill him.
Boom!
The meatball exploded after receiving the punch, but it did not scatter like it had before. Instead, the pieces of flesh were gathered together by the fist force.
Like a millstone, the fist force began reversing yin and yang and grinding the scattered bits of flesh and blood into nothing. This would continue until all traces of Elder Tomb Keeper had completely vanished from this world.
“Phew... For what it’s worth, I’m sorry that it came down to this.”
After observing for a moment and confirming that the Elder Tomb Keeper was utterly dead, Ye Qing let out a long sigh and dashed out of the Kunlun Tomb. He then ran straight toward the nearest exit.
Ye Qing did not slow down until he had left West Queen Mountain and West Kunlun behind. It was only then that he finally relaxed.
“That felt like forever...”
Although he had planned meticulously and adapted appropriately against the circumstances that were pit against him, there was a reason the saying, “Man plans, and god laughs” existed. Luckily for him though, bad luck did not strike him this time. Now that he was out of West Kunlun, he could finally let out a sigh of relief.
After pausing for a moment and giving the tall, massive West Queen Mountain one last look, Ye Qing picked up his speed and dashed toward the horizon once more.
Although Elder Tomb Keeper was dead, and no one knew that he was the one who entered the Kunlun Tomb, the branch of the Radiant Tree was currently in his possession. As the Radiant Tree branch was the sacred object of West Kunlun, it was possible they had done something to it that would allow them to track it down should it go missing or something. Therefore, the more distance he put between himself and West Kunlun, the better.
As for whether Mister Taozhu and her subordinates would be implicated by his actions, he wasn’t too worried. He might have followed Mister Taozhu into the mountain, but his disguise was that of an insignificant small fry. Not only that, he made sure to distort the people’s eyes and senses using his demonic thought when he was interacting with others. Therefore, no one even remembered that he existed. Therefore, his disappearance would not draw any attention, nor was there any reason for West Kunlun to suspect Mister Taozhu.
Besides that, the group of intruders Elder Tomb Keeper had killed earlier hailed from many different factions. It was more than enough to confuse West Kunlun and divert their attention elsewhere.
Finally, Mister Taozhu was one of the Three Misters of the Way of Taiping. West Kunlun would be crazy to try and do anything against her without concrete evidence.
Long story short, everything was in his control.
Right now, his first priority was to put as much distance between himself and West Kunlun as possible. After all, none of this would matter if West Kunlun managed to track him down. After that, he would find a way to use the Radiant Tree branch and enter the Kunlun Ruins. Then, he would find Yi Pin and save him.
“I hope that everything will go smoothly...”
The whisper quickly vanished amidst a soothing breeze.
The sunlight was bright, and the world was calm.
