Chapter 477 Almost Turned into a Roast Pig
Chapter 477 Almost Turned into a Roast Pig
The flames rose without warning, enveloping Suming in a fierce conflagration that extinguished as quickly as it had ignited. From the moment Ludmila saw the flames and pounced to grab Alayi by the throat, and Amir rushed in from outside the door, only four or five seconds had passed before the fire abruptly faded away.
Suming sat there naked and bewildered.
The cabin fell silent in an instant. Ludmila's face still wore anger, frozen in the shape of cursing someone, her blue eyes filled with disbelief, she stared blankly at Suming;
Amir and another Lure warrior, with their guns pointed at Ludmila's head, had their gaze locked onto Suming as if attracted by a magnet, unable to look away;
The Priest Alayi even forgot to cough, his hands trembling uncontrollably, slowly raising them as if he wanted to touch Suming's face but hesitated as though fearful of desecrating Suming, not daring to come closer.
Even the air seemed to have stilled, leaving only the campfire in the cabin to occasionally crackle as the dry wood popped.
"I'm fucking damned!"
It was Suming who eventually shattered the silence. His expression shifted from confusion to anger. Naked as the day he was born, he leaped up like a furious beast and lunged at the old man Alayi, throwing a vicious punch at his withered face.
With a thud, the old man was left with a bloodied mouth, falling backward, and Suming, seemingly out of his mind, relentlessly mounted him, delivering a furious flurry of punches.
"Motherfucker, fuck your whole family, damn old dog..."
He cursed as he kept punching! At this moment, it became clear that Suming didn't have much of a way with words; his cursing was monotonous, limited to fuck and shit, essentially identical in meaning.
From this, it's evident that it pays to read more. For instance, when cultured people see a flock of birds startled from the reeds at sunset, they might think, "the setting sun and lonely ducks fly together, autumn water shares the sky's hue," but someone semi-illiterate like Suming, who just managed to get a diploma, thinks, "Fuck, so many birds, damn beautiful..."
The fire had genuinely scared Suming out of his wits.
When Alayi asked him to sit down, Suming was actually on guard. Alayi was old and thin, and Suming figured he could handle him in a real fight, not to mention he had Ludmila, the fierce mama bear, watching closely.
He had calculated every possibility, but how could he have expected Alayi to pull such a dirty trick, rigging the 'seat' with something? The cushion under his butt was almost certainly the same type of flammable material Basel had been handling on the plane!
The moment the fire erupted, Suming was caught entirely off guard.
Rustle, rustle, the curtains of the wooden house were flung open again as several Lure warriors burst in, raising their guns at the scene.
"High Priest, what happened to you!"
"The evil heathen, how dare you harm the High Priest!"
An irate warrior raised the butt of his gun, aiming to smash Suming and Ludmila's heads.
"Stop!"
"Wait a moment!"
Two voices sounded at the same time. One came from Amir, and the other, weak and wheezy, came from Alayi.
The butt of the gun hung in the air as the young Lure men looked in surprise at their respected High Priest and their most formidable warrior, big brother Amir.
Alayi struggled to get up from the ground, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth. Seeing Amir still holding Suming by the neck, he glared at him fiercely, "Let go of him!"
Amir slowly released his hold, looking at Suming with a complex expression. Subconsciously, he shifted his stance, using half his body to shield his father from Suming, for fear that Suming would hurt his father again.
"Move aside!"
Alayi pushed Amir away and crawled at Suming's feet, speaking in a trembling voice, "Messenger who walked out of the flames, please forgive my offense against you. Alayi, God's most loyal servant, is willing to accept any punishment!"
The Lure warriors who had rushed in didn't witness what happened earlier and had no clue about it. Hearing what Alayi said, they looked at each other, but instinctively lowered their guns, no longer daring to aim them at Suming.
But Amir and the warrior who had seen Suming emerge unscathed from the fierce fire exchanged glances, and simultaneously took off their guns from their shoulders, kneeling down on the spot before Suming.
Ludmila's mouth dropped open even wider, it could almost fit a fist.
"So you're saying, I can beat you up however I want?" Suming asked Alayi with a wicked smile, gripping his fist.
