Seth was taken aback and he then felt mortified but he didn't avoid her eyes and asked, "You still believe we are immortals?"

"I don't know. But I don't want to be alone. My new race has a long life. If my family didn't find a way to prolong their life, they would grow old and die, and it would be me alone. But you are immortal, you won't age like us. We will be together forever."

With a painful expression, Retina stood and said, "I'm having a headache, I might not deliver you food in time." She said as she eyed him.

Seth breathed in relief and he looked at the girl, her veins now, were bulging and filled with red. But she was a bit surprised by what happened.
