Chapter 42 - 42: Another Group

Lucas looked at him, but he did not say anything. Instead, he turned around and left the street. They had just been walking around, with him having the intention of venting out and catching a breath, while trying to think of a solution that he would utilize in order to find what they were looking for.

But now that they had not found anything, it was better for him to go back. It was currently nighttime, so, he would just go and look for a few girls to spend the nights with. That way, he could at least relieve his mind that was currently burdened with a lot of stress.

The subordinates on the other hand immediately went around, asking for information about Jaden. Of course, they had already got an information about him before they came over to this city, and they already knew where he lived.

But now, they would have to try and look for his whereabouts. So, they began questioning people, something that they did not do before. It was not long before they got information about Jaden.

The problem was that the information that they had gotten made them wonder if they had gotten the wrong person. After all, previously, they had beaten up Jaden in such a way that it was impossible for him to be able to survive.

So, while asking around, they had been hoping to be able to find information about the dead body. But in the end, they actually found information about an alive person.

Even though they possessed many suspicions, they did not hesitate to begin tracking Jaden's whereabouts. That was when they came to be informed that Jaden had come back, taken the old man that owned the apartment where he lived to the hospital.

When they heard that piece of information, they could not help but frown. The reason behind that was simple. Previously, when they went to Jaden's house, they did not touch anybody. They did things discreetly, in such a way that it was impossible for other people to be able to realize that they were there.

But from the looks of it, not long after they had left, another group of people had come over. Then, in the end, day injured the old man. That was the reason why when Jaden came over, he immediately took the old man to the hospital.

Despite asking around, they did not get any clues on who it was. After all, if there was another person that came to Jaden's house, it might be that they were looking for the same thing that they were here for. And If that was the case, that implied that they were definitely enemies.

Immediately, they stopped looking for Jaden for the time being, and decided to inform Lucas about their findings. But of course, they understood that it was going to be quite troublesome for them to be able to inform Lucas about this issue.

Jaden did not know about the fact that there was a group of people that was looking for him actively this time. It might be true that he was expecting that, but he did not expect that it was not just a single group, but instead, more than one.

As for if there were multiple of them, that was yet to be seen. But nevertheless, it seemed that each and every group that was looking for Jaden's whereabouts was definitely quite dangerous.

As for what it was that they were looking for, Jaden definitely did not possess any information about it. Simply put, he was clueless about the reason of them rummaging through his items in his apartment.

The only clue that he possessed at the moment was the fact that this group of people might be related to the Williams. But nevertheless, he could not come to a conclusion considering that he did not find even a single person.

After coming from the street stall, he went back to the hospital. He decided to sleep within the hospital, in the waiting area. It was impossible for him to leave the old man, considering the condition that the old man was currently in.

So, he found a comfortable position on the chair, before closing his eyes to sleep. Although he was currently sleeping, his senses were active, and any form of disturbance would immediately wake him up.

As he slept off, something else was happening within the Johnsons. And Clifford was having a solemn expression on his face at this moment.
