The Outer God Needs Warmth

Chapter 54

Chapter 54

The foreign press immediately compiled and edited the memories of the three individuals.

By cutting out all the emotions and intertwined memories from the past, the foreign press’s recollection became much lighter than when it was initially stored. This meant it could be sent to more people, much faster.

And then, it was distributed bit by bit to everyone.

However, even when Yasle’s memories were incorporated, there weren’t many who accepted it and summoned her.

This time was no different.

Of course, Hyungkeshni had blocked the process, but despite that, the place with the most people had made the most attempts.

In another world, there would be at most one person.

And even that person, after falling to rock bottom and then being resurrected, had so much preparation to do to perform the summoning that it was incredibly difficult.

It was like having the hobby of playing TRPG in Korea. It's something introverted people might enjoy, but it’s fundamentally contradictory because to do so, a lot of social skills are required.

So, summoning the foreign press from another world would require an immense amount of time.

But time was nothing to the foreign press.

Though the ability had been gained after blessing many people, the foreign press could not turn time backward. However, they could view time flowing at different speeds for each individual.

As long as it was in the same world, the flow of time was shared. But, when it came to another world, there was no problem.

So the foreign press sent out books, with self-advertisements inserted between the pages saying that summoning them would grant a blessing.

It was like the mid-roll ads on video streaming sites.

And imagine those ads appearing between lessons in an online class.

The foreign press was indeed an evil god.

But after listening to all those lessons filled with curses, someone finally succeeded in summoning them. The one who had received the blessing was someone who had already fallen into despair, so despite the hardships, they were desperate enough to attempt summoning the foreign press.

A thin fishing line fell from the night sky to the surface of the water.

The foreign press smiled and reached out to grab the fishing line.

However, there was one fundamental mistake the foreign press was making.

This technique wasn’t meant to summon the foreign press.

Originally, it was meant to summon an evil god.

The fishing line was intended to draw a monster from near the water’s surface, not from below the water.

The person who created the technique had thought of the surface as the bottom. So, the more capable the person was, the more they could summon a monster that crawled along the bottom.

It wasn’t the foreign press who grabbed the fishing line. It was the massive lump of light closer to the surface of the water that seized it and began rising upward.

From the perspective of the night sky, the massive lump of light was at the bottom, but it was too high for the foreign press to reach.

Gazing blankly at the light rising above, the foreign press suddenly realized that they were beneath the surface of the water.

They had fallen from above at first.

But now, they existed both below the surface and in the world filled with light.

They were in both places at once, connected as one.

So, which one was the world of light, and which one was below the surface?

With a mind full of intense anger, the foreign press slowly calmed down and took a deep look at themselves.

Only through others can one know oneself. One can only be self-aware through the presence of others.

It was like a baby, lying on a bed, finally learning to crawl.

And just as they begin to perceive a larger world, the foreign press took a step forward.

The foreign press’s consciousness traveled upwards, following the body.

Very far.

To that high place.

A slender body, like a thread, climbed toward the night sky. And what had once seemed like scattered stars in the sky, the foreign press now realized, was not just that.

There was an overwhelming amount of light.

But it was densely gathered, and from a distance, it looked like one single source of light.

But anger diminished their patience.

Ten times.

All of them turned into hard stone.

The foreign press had two hypotheses.

One was that the summoner’s ability was insufficient.

The other was that there was something wrong with the book.

And the answer came from the blessed person.

Because someone researched the stone monster. The blessed person worked diligently and examined the stone statue.

And they realized that something was sealed inside it.

It was waiting to get out.

And what was inside was an evil god filled with hatred.

But by the time this research was completed, so much time had passed that the blessed one died from age before they could create a solution.

As soon as they died, the foreign press, having received warmth, was furious.

They were truly angry.

The book had been a trap designed to keep the foreign press bound.

Had the foreign press continued to maintain its mystique, Hyungkeshni wouldn’t have done this. In fact, she couldn’t have.

But due to the child-like behavior of constantly asking when the book would be finished, Hyungkeshni had entertained the thought.

And when the foreign press showed no reaction even to insults, she lowered her guard.

She had underestimated the foreign press so much, thinking they were just a young, naive child giving blessings.

It was entirely the foreign press’s fault.

It was purely the foreign press’s mistake.

To control someone like Hyungkeshni, fear should have been instilled, but the foreign press had made themselves appear too easy to handle.

Hyungkeshni thought she could do something to the foreign press.

She hid traps in the book.

Through the magic written in the book, she had cleverly twisted the summoning method, so that the summoner would become trapped within it.

She thought it would take the stone statue until it weathered down, enough time for her to live and die before the trap would be discovered.

She wasn’t worried about being caught.

Because anyone who summoned the foreign press and followed along with glee would turn into stone.

That’s why, seeing the foreign press from a distance, Hyungkeshni had laughed at her.

If the foreign press had been a normal monster, that would have been enough. If it had been just a monstrous evil god, she could have sealed it away with her magic.

But the foreign press’s true nature was very strange.

Very, very strange.

The foreign press was furious.

They had made a contract, but hadn’t received the proper book.

Hyungkeshni was to blame for the contract being broken.

Therefore, the foreign press could now do whatever they wanted to Hyungkeshni.

It was time for revenge.

The foreign press returned to the first world.

They had accomplished everything.

But all they had gained was Yasle’s summoning method. Laughing at themselves for thinking they had completed everything, the foreign press turned their gaze and soon spotted Hyungkeshni, leisurely sitting far away, watching them.

Now, how should they unleash this fury?

The foreign press began thinking, filled with crafty, cowardly thoughts.
