Wang Cheng was so consumed with jealousy that he was about to go mad, his fists clenched tightly. But he hadn’t lost his composure completely. He still managed to maintain a smile on his face, pretending to listen to Qi Lin talk.
On the other side, sitting in the back of the car, Lan Yuxi looked like she had lost the will to live, covering her face, her delicate cheeks flushed crimson.

Wang Cheng felt like his neck had rusted; he didn’t even know how he managed to turn it around. When he saw Lan Yuxi sitting behind him, looking awkward and avoiding his gaze, his heart turned ice-cold.
Yuxi was actually in Qi Lin’s car?
Hearing this, Wang Cheng felt a sharp pang in his heart.
A jealous guy in love can’t tell what’s true and what’s false anymore.
Forcing a smile, he said, “Qi Lin, we’re not what you think. I was just surprised to see the class monitor in your car. And she’s a girl—you shouldn’t joke about her like that.”
Qi Lin had only wanted to sow discord. Now that his goal was achieved, he laughed and said, “It was just a joke. Why’s everyone taking it so seriously?”
When they arrived at the school, Qi Lin said to the two of them, “You guys get out first. I’ll go park the car.”
The seeds of suspicion had already been planted in Wang Cheng’s heart. Qi Lin figured it was time to leave and let the two of them argue.

Hearing Wang Cheng’s slip of the tongue, Lan Yuxi was stunned.
