Chapter 32 Anger
Chapter 32 Anger
Anger
Christopher felt intense bloodlust coming from deeper within the forest and didn't take any time to realise that it was probably the Terror Tarantula.
"Alright guys, from here on out, things are gonna get a little bit more difficult." As he said that, he suddenly grabbed the air in front of him as a spider Web shot towards his face.
With mild exertion, he pulled and the spider was yanked into the open, and then black spears of darkness turned it into a pin-cushion.
Then without a word, he started to move forward and the others followed after him.
The deeper they went in, the more spider webs they found along with more spiders. And as they moved Belladonna summoned flames to burn the webs while Thanatos raised several undead to handle the spiders as they advanced.
As such, they weren't really facing many issues as they moved deeper into the forest. And it was at this point that they started to see some... disturbing things.
The group paused when they suddenly say webs concentrated in certain spots, and it didn't take them long to realise that they were cocoons.
When he realised this, Christopher's expression Darkened as he realised the cocoons were around the same size as people.
He snapped his fingers and wind sliced one of the cocoons and made it fall to the ground, he snapped again and the thing was cut open. And the sight within was definitely harrowing.
A shrivelled corpse could be seen, its eye sockets empty as the eyes had been eaten, along with their insides judging by the clear cut in their torso which revealed that it was empty.
Silver frowned and Kim immediately became sick and had to turn away. Belladonna was expressionless and Thanatos didn't seem to care all that much while the twins looked disgusted.
Without a word, Christopher cut open the rest of the cocoons and sure enough, more shriveled eaten out corpses could be seen.
'It's unfortunate, but there's nothing I could have done.' He thought to himself, but his fists were clenched tightly.
'I know that, I know that there isn't anything I could have done.' His companions eyes widened As they suddenly felt his Mana start to leak out with terrifying intensity.
'So why am I so angry?' He grit his teeth behind his mask.
"M-Master." Silver called out as the billowing waves of Mana made the group back away. And then abruptly, it seized.
'I have no right to feel indignant or desire to carry out justice.' He thought as he waved his hand and the corpses caught on fire and very quickly became ash.
'However.' He pointed his hand upwards and and in mere seconds, rain clouds started to gather and everywhere became exceedingly windy.
'If I don't find an outlet for this rage, I'm going to hurt someone I care about.' He thought calmly and high in the sky only visible him, hundreds of light gray runes began to congregate and compress.
Then, a funnel began to appear in the rain clouds.

Within the Palace, the head of the Darius Family stared out of his window at the raging clouds in the distance. Even from here, he could feel the wild Mana as something was using some very powerful magic.
"This much Mana, if whoever is doing this isn't careful then they will blow away this entire continent." He thought with narrowed eyes and said to Richard who was behind him.
"I see. Well regardless, we need him to stop what he is doing." The bear of a man said and the Queen looked at Christopher.
"Little guy, I'm not sure why you're doing this, but I'd ask you to stop now." She said softly, though her tone left no room for refusal.
Christopher saw All of this and tilted his head.
'Hm, I guess such a thing would cause a ruckus. If I'm unable to control the scale of this attack then the damage would be obscene, so besides the elf, I'm not surprised that they want me to stand down.' Christopher thought.
'However.' He suddenly snapped his fingers and Gravity, Wind, and Space runes suddenly appeared en-masse and surrounded each figure.
By the time they realised what was going on, they each found themselves trapped in a bubble made of those three elements and their eyes widened.
"You Dare?!" The bear of a man roared and stone covered his fists before he punched the cages. But to his shock, it didn't even budge.
The others tried to get out as well but had little success as well.
However, Christopher doubted they would stay caged for long, but he just wanted time to do what he was doing.
Was it irrational? Yes. Was it bringing utterly unneeded attention? Absolutely? But did he care? Absolutely Fucking Not!
He returned his attention to the column of air which was still raging, and then using his Runic Insight, he controlled lots, and LOTS of fire runes to condense into the tornado.
And then he made the two runes harmonise with each other, before activating the fire runes.
The instant he did, the world turned orange.
As if a second sun had just appeared, everywhere went bright as a moment later, insane heat radiated as trees within dozens of miles instantly combusted and and the air became ionised.
Everyone far away watched on with horror as the massive spinning column of flames moved like a pillar from heaven, resembling a judgment brought on by the gods.
The ground was scorched and turned into lava in an instant and flames went crazy. However if one paid close attention, the flames didn't go anywhere near any human. Even the human villages that were very close were untouched and didn't even feel the heat. Moreover, their crops, water, and everything was left alone.
Seeing this, the four figures narrowed their eyes as it was clear Christopher had no interest in hurting anyone and only the thing that had pissed him off. And as such, they waited.
And indeed, after about ten minutes, the pillar began to slow down and gradually faded out of existence, leaving the world alone from its wrath.
Christopher huffed, feeling significantly more satisfied. He'd been planning on making the Terror Tarantula his subordinate, but after what he saw, he decided to vaporise it instead.
Was he hypocritical in that sense? After all God knows how many people Belladonna, Thanatos, and Silver had killed, yet he treated them amicably. And yes, he was a hypocrite, and he knew that, but he was also happy, and that's all he cared about. So he didn't dwell on it.
He then used runes and with a thought, the forest began to restore itself at an astonishing rate. The trees, ground and everything along with it started to reappear, and as that was happening, Christopher looked back up towards the four figures and removed his cages to let them move freely.
"Apologies, I needed to get that put of my system." He said with a much lighter tone and received strange gazes from the people.
"You seem to be an adventurer." The Silver haired woman said and Christopher nodded.
"That is correct. You may refer to me as The Dreamer." Christopher said and offered a slight bow
