Chapter 33 Revelation

Chapter 33 Revelation

Revelation

"Well boy." The bear of a man spoke in a gruff tone.

"Do you seriously believe that you can cause such a ruckus and get away scott free?" At his question, Christopher shrugged.

"I mean no disrespect but the only reason I'm still here is because I want to apologise." He said and the eyes of the three family heads narrowed.

"Are you saying we can't stop you from running?" The Silver haired woman asked and Christopher nodded without hesitation.

"I'd prefer to compensate you and leave on a good note instead of running." His words made their eyes go from hostile to slightly intrigued.

The Elven Queen made no attempt to speak or interfere. Instead she watched on with curiosity, no doubt observing this individual her daughter believed to have the fate of the world in his hands.

"Alright, what could you compensate us with?" At this Christopher tilted his head slightly before holding out his hand and a moment later, three branches appeared.

However with the appearance of these branches, everyone, including the Elven Queen's eyes widened in surprise.

"These branches come from a Vita Tree and all carry immense life force. You can use them to heal, create potions, or turn them into weapons. The choice is yours really." He said casually and made a branch float towards each Family head.

Just with their appearance alone, the restored greenery grew with even more vigor as the powerful life force of the branches bathed everything in a close proximity.

They grabbed them with surprised expressions and Paul asked with a little doubt.

"You should know just how valuable these are. You're just giving them away?" Christopher shrugged.

"I don't need them." His response made them go silent. He didn't need them? Didn't that mean he had things that were far more valuable? And the answer was, yes.

After all these branches came from one of the many trees within his dimension, if the branches carried this much life force, then what about the trees themselves? He truly had no need for them.

"Is that enough compensation?" His question snapped them out of their reverie. The big man coughed awkwardly and nodded.

"Yes... I suppose this will suffice." He said and the other two nodded.

The Silver haired woman smiled warmly and spoke.

"Seems like we were too hasty in our judgement. You're quite reasonable. Granted your desire for destruction was a bit much, but no one was hurt and you fixed the damage even compensated us." Hearing this, Christopher scratched the back of his head.

"I was just a little angry so I wanted to let loose a little bit. I apologise for the trouble." He said sincerely.

"Hm. Well, in that case just don't do it again. The Elven Queen seems keen on speaking to you so I will take my leave." Paul said and glanced at the beautiful elf again before evaporating like water once more.

However he had faith in his ability to escape, mainly due to his dimension and how no one could find it. Moreover he doubted the queen would want him dead, especially since she came herself, so it must have been something else.

Eventually, they arrived in front of a room and entered. The room was quite luxurious, but it wasn't overly decorated and was quite cozy. However, that wasn't where his attention went.

Instead, he looked towards the girl who seemed to be anxiously waiting for something. And the moment he saw her face, he instantly judged her to be the daughter of the Elven Queen as she was almost a perfect copy of her, just younger looking.

Also Aisha happened to see Christopher the same time he saw her and her eyes widened with excitement and curiosity. As well as... relief?

"Ah, mother was able to get you to come without incident." She spoke and stood up with a small smile.

"You seem to know me." Christopher said and was a little surprised when he saw small runes floating around her body passively. He was a bit curious because he didn't quite recognise these runes. Their colour was a very light shade of green and they weren't a lot, but they seemed attracted to the girl.

"Ah yes! My apologies. I haven't introduced myself." She bowed slightly much to Christopher's surprise and he glanced at her mother who showed no reaction.

When she straightened, she spoke.

"My Name is Aisha Etherwood, Princess of the Elven Kingdom." She introduced and then said with a smile.

"And your name is Christopher correct?" Christopher's eyes widened slightly. How did she know his name? Even with his mask on?

She seemed to sense his confusion and spoke quickly.

"I understand that you'd be apprehensive! But... please just hear me out." She pleaded and Christopher went silent before sighing.

"Alright. What is this all about?" Seeing that he was willing to listen, Aisha sighed with relief before her face became serious.

"I guess I'll start from the beginning." She glanced at her mother who nodded slightly.

"I have a... unique ability." She started.

"I'm able to, to some extent, observe and manipulate fate." Hearing this, Christopher's eyes widened slightly.

"It's not to an obscene amount, but yes, I can wield fate like it is magic. However, in a lot of cases, I'm unable to control certain things, like what I see." She took a breath.

"In other words, I can have visions about certain things that can happen in the future, a form of foresight if you may." The more Christopher heard, the more surprised he became. He'd never considered or even thought about anything related to fate, talk less of it being an ability one could use.

He looked at her again and had an idea as to what the runes around her body represented and was very intrigued. However, despite that, he also had a vague idea now on why they wanted to see him so much.

"I assume you had a vision and I was inside?" He asked and Aisha nodded grimly.

"Yes... this may come as a shock to you, but depending on your actions, the world can either be saved, or destroyed."
